Hello ~ I am hoping some one here can help me. I am looking for an easy pattern to take a men’s t-shirt and turn it into a women’s off the shoulder. It is a like the instructions for “off the shoulder with band” but with sleeves. Here is a link to an example: http://tinyurl.com/yhtzm3d
Thanks in advance for any help.
Hugs,
Kristy

Lisa, you should be able to dye it, but what kind of fabric dye you can use will depend on the fabric content.
This site has some tips on what kind of fabrics take what kind of dyes: http://www.make-baby-stuff.com/fabric-dyeing.html

The mat that was under some of your unmade garments, where could I get one or what are they called? Would really appreciate it and I would also love to know how to make a full length long sleeved dress (Like a maxi dress with sleeves) would I need a template for this? I would really love it if you could get back to me.
I love what you’re doing, Many Thanks.

I received the purple cutting mat as a gift, but I’m pretty sure it’s from Joann Fabric. Any sewing/craft supply store should have them with the other cutting stuff like scissors and rotary cutters, etc.
If you have a pattern or know how to make a long sleeved top, you could pretty easily adapt it to be a dress. Just add the necessary length, and some extra width to the hem to facilitate walking.
