SugarKitty is a one-woman juggernaut, bringing you high-end, handmade custom corsets for every shape and size.
In addition to corsets, you’ll find costumes, burlesque outfits, tophats, even wedding dresses.

If I ever decide to get a real corset, I know where I’ll be getting it!

Let’s find out a little more about SugarKitty Corsets!

How long have you been running SugarKitty Corsets?
I’ve been sewing since I was 6 or 7. I officially started SKC in 2002, making corsets for fun and sometimes selling them on eBay. I realized that I was completely in love with corset making, and decided to make it my career. It’s obviously expanded into much, much more over the years.

Is it a full-time or part-time endeavor?
Full-time!

Where do you find inspiration?
Since I work in my studio 50-60 hours a week, most of my inspiration comes from the internet these days. But, inspiration can be found anywhere – fashion magazines, TV, books, walking down the street. No place in particular. :)

What is your favorite item you’ve ever made?
This outfit is by far my most favorite:

 

If you had a million dollars, what’s the first handmade item you’d buy?
A Mr. Pearl corset! He is incredible, and everything I ever aspire to be! He is so elusive, he doesn’t even have a website (rumor has it he doesn’t use the internet at all).

What is your favorite book?
Where the Red Fern Grows. It’s a childrens book, but still my all-time favorite.
