Good morning, class! Today lesson is on the infamous ladder stitch that I just can’t seem to stop mentioning in my other tutorials lately.
The ladder stitch is also called the slip stitch or the invisible stitch.
If you don’t have a lot of hand sewing experience, getting out the ol’ needle and thread can be a bit daunting. But I’ve got a few tips to make things a little easier for you!

Who knew felt could look so tasty? Speaking of which, I’ve used a wool blend felt here. It’s a bit more durable than the poly craft felt you can buy for a few cents a sheet at the craft store, not to mention it looks and feels nicer. But it’s not as expensive as 100% wool felt. Best of both worlds!

Read more…I remember the first time I tried to sew vinyl. It was a mess! Wonky seams, uneven stitches, a rat’s nest of thread wadding up in the bobbin case. But once I learned a few tips and tricks, it was smooth sewing from there!
