Happy Holidays from WhatTheCraft.com!

This post brought to you by Pier 1 Imports. All opinions are 100% mine.

Last year I was feeling a little Scrooge-ish and didn’t even bother putting my tree up. Bah Humbug. But there’s nothing like a mini shopping spree to put you in the Xmas spirit!

My Xmas tree has an enchanted forest theme going on… at least that’s what I’m going for. I’ve got owls, leaves, trees and gingerbread. I found some great additions to my ornament collection at Pier 1:

a hummingbird

a glittery birds nest

and two owls

one of which I’m using as a tree topper

(This brings my total collection of Xmas tree owls to 7.)

I could have gone crazy in the ornament section. There were a lot of other ornaments that would have been perfect on my tree, but I didn’t want to put all of my ornaments in one basket (ha!).

Actually, speaking of one basket, while I was shopping, a Pier 1 manager actually came and took my basket to the register for me and brought me back an empty one, so I wouldn’t have to walk around with a full basket the whole time. How’s that for customer service??

For my fireplace, I got two star shaped votive lanterns.

I think they make great Xmas decorations, but I’ll probably leave them up year round. I could fill my entire house with candle lanterns… I love them!  They’re only $9.99, and would make awesome holiday gifts.

I also snagged a big red glittery bow to top off my mini tree.

To top things off, I scored a set of my favorite blue drinking glasses.

So here’s the extra cool thing about Pier 1: During the months of November and December, you can support Toys for Tots by dropping off an unwrapped toy and/or making a cash donation at the register.

Also, if you “LIKE” Pier 1 Imports on Facebook, they will donate $1 to Toys for Tots for every new fan they get!

I will leave you with my newest tutorial… How To Decorate a Christmas Tree:
