I finally posted a new video tutorial! This one shows my No-Measuring (Cheater) Method for finishing the neckline of a t-shirt!
This tutorial was filmed using a Creative Labs Vado HD Digital Video Camera, a Canon Rebel (for still shots), and edited in Sony Vegas Movie Studio.

Can’t thank you enough for this tutorial! I have sooo much trouble with this reconstructing shirts. Do you think this same method could be applied to adding a trim of fabric around the bottom of short sleeves on a tshirt?
It absolutely could! If you’re making the shirt from scratch, though, I like to sew fabric trim to a sleeve before the sleeve is sewn together. It’s really easy when you’re working with a flat piece like that!
It also works for the bottom band on a shirt or the waistband of a skirt.
i gots to get me one of those machines.
Thanks for sharing, nice post…

It could, though I prefer to sew the trim to the sleeve before I assemble the shirt. Sleeves can be so small, it’s a lot easier to sew the trim when you can lay the sleeve flat still.
