I love carving jackolanterns for Halloween, but I hate watching them rot and then throwing them away. So now I always carve artificial pumpkins, and then I get to keep them forever *echo* ever-ever-ever!

I have a hard time sitting still, so even during my “relaxation” time in front of the TV in the evenings, I like to have something to do. Sewing is kind of hard to do if your machine isn’t already in front of the TV, so one of my favorite Idiot Box crafts is hand embroidery.

All of the ornaments use the same basic shape. It’s just a piece of tape folded into a strip, as shown below.
That’s it! If you can fold a piece of tape and wield a stapler and a glue gun, you can make all of the ornaments in the photo! This would be a perfect project to do with little kids, just put them to work folding those strips!
